Quidnet

This tranquil residential area is located on the eastern part of the island between Sconset and Wauwinet. It's a perfect place to read a book on the beach and watch the seal swimming by. Fishing is another great pastime in this area on the ocean side. Most homes are very close or right on the beach and often are passed down generation to generation. Sesachacha Pond mirrors the sun during the day and the moon in the evening. Relax or play, Quidnet is a great place that will leave you with memories worth a lifetime!

• Sesachacha Pond provides a quiet spot to rest by the shores, kayak, or put a little sailboat in the water.
• The ocean side of Quidnet provides cool eastern ocean waves. It can be calm or rough depending on the prevailing winds and it can get deep very quick once you wade out just a few feet.
• Sankaty Golf Course and Sankaty Beach Club are just a short distance away. Both are part of the private Sankaty Golf Club but a great place to enjoy if you are a member or are a guest.
• Windswept Cranberry Bog is a quick bike or car ride away with lots of trails to explore and is beautiful as Autumn rolls around
• The Wauwinet Hotel and it's award winning restaurant, Toppers, is also a quick jaunt for a scrumputous meal and sunset cocktails.
• Sconset is just a 10 minute car ride away and offers the quaint village, a playground for kids, lunch at Claudettes and provisions from the Sconset Market.
• Sankaty Lighthouse sits on a 7 acre site lovingly preserved and maintained by the Sconset Trust. Drive, bike or walk to the site and explore on your own or visit during one of the few Lighthouse Open days to climb to the top.
