Historic House and Kitchen Tour will be bigger and better than ever. The tour begins at 10 AM on July 21, but
tickets go on sale June 1 and are likely to sell out quickly. Participants will tour the kitchens of Nantucket's Centre Street and Academy Lane, as well as visit the First Congregation Church and the acclaimed Nantucket Culinary Center on Federal Street.
In the past, the tour was largely limited to kitchens and dining rooms. That has all changed, for while participants still spend much of the tour examining local kitchens, they'll also have the opportunity to explore beyond the kitchen. As in previous tours, guides will provide insights into ways that historic homes can be modernized without adversely impacting their timeless appeal.
