Evolving out of the Nantucket Garden Club's Daffodil Show and a Vintage Motor Car Outing, the Nantucket Daffodil Festival is a time-honored tradition for both visitors and residents alike. Enjoy flower shows, shopping events, the annual classic car parade, picnics, and time with family and friends.

This 3-day event includes races from Hyannis to Nantucket and social events throughout the weekend all to promote the sport of sailing and Youth Sailing in particular. This year we are excited to welcome back this event as it was not held or held in an alternative place over the past two years.

The Nantucket Book Festival is a multi-day cultural event celebrating the rich literary resources of Nantucket's past, present and future. The Festival seeks to create and renew enthusiasm for books, connect authors and readers, encourage a love of reading and writing among young people, raise funds for literary causes and promote Nantucket Island as an oasis and have for literary arts.

Enjoy a fun-filled nine-day experience that marshals the entire Nantucket community together for regattas, awards ceremonies, and social events all in support of the Nantucket Community Sailing Youth Programs. Sailors of all levels are welcome to participate in a myriad of race categories and events.

August 6 - 16, 2026

One of the summer's signature island events brings the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra to our sandy shores for a night of music, al fresco dining, and a spectacular fireworks display. This event is the highlight of the season for many and the single largest fundraiser for the Nantucket Cottage Hospital.

The storied history of the first all-wooden single-hulled classic boat regatta on the East Coast continues as the pinnacle event of Nantucket Race Week. Attracting some of the finest wooden sailboats in the world, the OHC encourages the use, appreciation & understand of restoration with classic wooden boats.

The annual Nantucket Atheneum Cold Turkey Plunge is a community event and fundraiser to support the Weezie Library for Children, which offers free year-round access to programs, services, and materials to all library users.
